According to the Encyclopædia Britannica, Kinesiology is the "study of the mechanics and anatomy of human movement and their roles in promoting health and reducing disease."
Kinesiology encompasses a myriad of applications, including but not limited to, biomechanics, physiology, biochemistry, sports activity and exercise, nutrition, rehabilitation, orthopedics, occupational therapy and physical therapy.
