In geveb: A Journal of Yiddish StudiesFrom the site: In geveb aims to be a central address for the study of all things Yiddish—the focal point for discussions of Yiddish literature, language, and culture, and the home for the next generation of Yiddish scholarship. In geveb, which in Yiddish means “in web,” will catalyze and renew dialogue between scholars around the world about Yiddish culture, weaving together the voices and texts of Yiddish’s past, present, and future.
In geveb is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization and a subscription-free digital journal. This means that all content is freely available without charge to the reader when used for scholarly and educational purposes. However, given the complex nature of copyright surrounding the archiving and digitization of Yiddish texts, a given post on In geveb may be governed by a web of permissions and rights.
