Our 3D Printers

We have two Makerbot printers and one Ultimaker Printer at the Touro University School of Health Sciences Library.

The first printer we acquired is the Makerbot Replicator (5th Generation). The second, the Makerbot Replicator+.  It is an updated version of the first printer with a larger printing bed and quicker print times. The third is the Ultimaker which has larger print space but takes longer to print. This printer will also print in two colors.

The printers use PLA filament that comes in a variety of colors.

We were able to purchase the 3D printers, scanner, supplies, training and warranties with grants from:

The National Libraries of Medicine Mid-Atlantic Region & Touro School of Health Sciences Dean’s Research Award.
