Creative Commons Licenses

Creative Commons is a nonprofit organization that aims to make copyright restrictions more balanced, by offering a variety of licensing types. If these licenses are implemented, they allow the creator(s) to retain copyright but also grant certain permissions to others.

The four conditions below can be combined into six different licenses, giving freedom for creators to choose the conditions under which other people can reuse that work:

When you want to reuse any material licensed under a CC license, always check the license conditions (e.g. commercial use, if you can modify and adapt, and if you can change the license):
